Robot SG - Calibrate nipple motors

After maintaining or replacing the nipple hand servo motors, ensure correct calibration for precise wheel truing.

To calibrate the Nipple servo-motors to 100Ncm, follow these steps:

Preparation:

  • Lock the left side nipple key with an accessory (1).
  • Access the "TEST NIPPLE MOTORS" menu on TEST.

Calibration Procedure:

  1. Activate the servo-motor in "Screw" mode (only for this direction the torque feedback is enabled). Position the cursor in front of line 1 and press <ENTER>.

  2. Dial in a torque value of 100Ncm in front of line 5. Place the cursor in front of line 5, press <ENTER>, and adjust the value using <►+> until it displays 100Ncm.

    • Note: You may see a different torque value on the right side of the screen, e.g., +/- 55Ncm. To reset it to 100Ncm, press <F5>.

    • Caution: Activate the locked servo-motors for the shortest possible duration to prevent overheating.

  3. Deactivate the servo motor on line 1 by pressing <ENTER>. The "*" symbol will disappear.

  4. On line 5, lower the torque value to 0Ncm by pressing <-◄>.

  5. Repeat the same calibration procedure for the right side motor.

Following these steps will accurately calibrate the Nipple servo-motors to 100Ncm.
