During the machine's operation, the rim starts to rotate in the opposite direction on its own and sometimes rotates slowly.
- Check the index speed, this speed should not be too fast; otherwise, the encoder may lose reference with the rim drive, causing counterclockwise rotation or even an extremely slow rotation resembling forced movement.
This adjustment can be accessed during the final calibration phase when introducing a new rim or during the index test that normally is used to fine-tune the horizontal and vertical positions.
To access this menu:
- In the main menu, press the key button and select number 5 (Index Test)
than you will be able to see this screen and pay atention on the index speed. some times during the adjustment, by accident, the operator touch on this part and increase the number making the machine working with error
Then you will be able to see this screen. Pay attention to the index speed. Sometimes, during the adjustment, the operator might accidentally touch this part and increase the number, causing the machine to operate with errors. Normally, this speed should be set to 16-17 for better work quality.
- Check the rim support. This support must be correctly adjusted according to the recommended markings
Prevent the machine from pressing the rim against the support roller too hard.
- Check if the rims are tightened too much or verify the correct size of the spokes. Also, check all the belts responsible for turning the motor. They must be properly adjusted with minimal gap, but not too tight.
- Check the driver for any blinking lights or other indicators. If possible, swap the driver with one from another machine of the same type (if you have two identical machines).
