There is a possibility that the machine may experience a complete loss of all programs and taught routines. In this situation, it is important to contact a Holland Mechanics technician to better understand the possible cause. However, pay attention to a simple detail that might help if you encounter a similar issue: the machine starts up but is missing its identification number, and all files have been lost.
Before trying anything else, first, attempt to restore the machine's missing identification. In some cases, this may help recover the entire lost program.
Instructions to Restore the Machine's Identification
-
Start the Machine
- Power on the machine and ignore the error message that appears.
-
Access the Special Function
- Press Function 4 = Special on the control panel.
-
Enter the Identification Mode
- Use the letter keyboard and type NA.
-
Restore the Identification Number
- You can find the identification number on the identification plate attached to the machine. Look for the machine number, as this will be its identification.
After that, press Menu, and then press the emergency button to restart the machine again. Attention: Some machines have an AABBCC format with 6 numbers, while others have an AAAAABBCC format with 9 numbers. If your machine has 6 numbers, enter them as they are. If your machine has 9 numbers, enter the first 2 numbers, the two antepenultimate numbers, and the last 2 numbers to form a 6-digit identification.
