Hub Filling NA- Correcting the position of the spoke hole during automatic mode.

If you notice that one or more spoke inserters are shaking during automatic mode, you can adjust the spoke hole position using the software by pressing the F4 key. These adjustments will only affect the hub you’re currently working on. If you need to make a larger adjustment than the software allows, you will need to manually adjust the spoke inserter’s mechanical settings.

Proceed as follows:

  • Press <F4> The active inserter moves out and the following message appears on screen: Answering with ‘NO’ will skip correction of the current inserter and the machine continues to the next inserter.

  • Answer affirmatively if you wish to make a correction (YES or NO) The following message appears:

Explanation:
The 'hub rotation stepping motor' adjusts the spoke hole vertically, while the 'portal stepping motor' adjusts it horizontally. The value '0' shows the position of these motors when the spoke hole is aligned with the sensor beams. For vertical adjustments with the 'hub rotation stepping motor,' a '-' symbol means a downward adjustment and a '+' symbol means an upward adjustment. You can adjust from -50 to +10, with each step being about 0.1 mm. For horizontal adjustments, a '-' symbol means a backward adjustment and a '+' symbol means a forward adjustment. You can adjust from -100 to +100, with each step also being 0.1 mm.

  • Slide the 'long spoke gauge', contained in the spare parts package, over the spoke push cord
and check that it passes through the spoke hole freely. If necessary, correct the position of the spoke hole.

Note:

To check accurately, move the threaded end of the template back and forth a few times, rotating it between your fingers while adjusting the value. Tip: Also make sure that the spring clip properly pushes the 'long spoke gauge' through the inserter nozzle

  • Remove the ‘long spoke gauge’.
  • Confirm by pressing <ENTER> once, and repeat the process for other inserters if needed.
  • Press <F4> once to close.

Note:

The machine will automatically return to automatic mode.
