To have a good starting point before starting the alignment, make sure that the following parts are already pre-adjusted. The side plates of the portal must be horizontal and parallel to the flanges of the support (1).
- The mounting plate must be vertical and parallel to the support shaft (2).
- The belt must be tensioned with bolts (3). Make sure that the clamping unit and rail (4) are in-line with the support shaft.
- Make sure that upper clamp (5) and lower clamp (6) are mounted perpendicular to the linear guides.
- In TEST OUTPUTS, make sure that when the clamp is closed, the 4 diabolo’s (7) are all touching the hub flange. If this is not the case, fine-adjust with position of clamps (5, 6).
• With open clamp, make sure that distance between pulley and belt holder (8) is the same on top and bottom. If not, then shift the belt and clamp a tooth until distance (8) is equal.
• In TEST OUTPUTS, test if the clamp closes enough to hold the small diameter, 83mm wide, adjustment hub. If not correct, adjust piston rod in flexo-clutch (9).
• Before further adjustment, remove buffer (10).
