If there is uncertainty about whether the torque of the nipple hands is correct.
If the nipples or spokes break during truing or the desired spoke tension is not right, it makes sense to check the nipple motors.
Proceed as follows:
In <TEST> select the category <TEST NIPPLEHANDS>.
The bottom two lines show the torque in Ncm. On the left the desired, on the right the applied Ncm. To change the torque, move the cursor to the desired side (for example Ncm Torque Left) by pressing <▼> or <▲>. Then select the line with <ENTER> (an * marks the selection). A preset of 100Ncm should be entered here. This is done in 5Ncm steps by pressing <◄> or <►>.
Before the nipple hands can be tested, they must be blocked. A small plate or something similar can be used for this.
Then select the line <TURN ... NIPPLEKEY (SCREW)> with <ENTER>.
Attention! The locked servo- motors have to be activated as
short as possible to prevent overheating.
Now the torque line should show 100Ncm on the left and 100Ncm on the right.
If not, press <F5> to reset to 100Ncm. To deactivate the motor press <ENTER> again.
Repeat the procedure for the other side.
In case the Ncm is correct from the beginning, check the spokes and nipples (defective thread?/oiled?/torque too high in the program?)
