Lacing CE-A - Adjusting the needle pulse sensor

When you notice that the lacing is no longer uniform and the rounds are significantly different from before, with some spokes tightened and others not, you need to make adjustments.

  • Adjust the Needle Pulse Sensor (1) so that it is activated only at the edges of the hexagonal part of the screwdriver.
  • Move the sensor back (toward the motor) so that it is no longer activated, but only when the needle is pushed in approximately 1.5 mm.

  • In the main menu, select a previously edited rim and navigate to the “LACE WHEEL” menu <1>. The machine will adjust itself for the appropriate rim.
  • Set the number of turns for the first round of lacing to 60 (use the arrow keys).
  • Press the service button. The machine will measure the rim and stop, waiting for the spoke in the spoke guide.
  • If there is no nipple in the nipple block, press the service button twice.
  • Take a single spoke and press it against the spoke guide. The screwdriver will turn the nipple onto the spoke.
  • Ensure the top of the spoke is level with the bottom of the nipple slot. If necessary, adjust the Needle Pulse Sensor accordingly and check again.
  • Reset the number of turns for the first round to the previous value.
