# FE: Rim clamps not closing and clamping

## This article can be used if, when placing the rim in the machine, it still does not allow the rim to lift for the operation to be performed.

At this stage, it is very important to pay attention to a specific sensor. This sensor is responsible for informing the equipment that the rim is already in the working position. If this confirmation does not occur, the machine will not operate, as it depends on the sensor’s signal, which works by pressure. If the sensor does not detect the rim in the working area, it will not activate. And even if the rim is correctly positioned, the actuator may be misaligned or the sensor may be defective.
